The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider is inspired by the legendary open-topped Grand Tourers of the 1950s and ‘60s, embodying the front-mounted Ferrari V12 two-seater mission with its effortless combination of elegance, versatility, and performance. It combines performance, class and the unique ability to hear the sound of its 12 cylinders with the roof open, without renouncing driving comfort on long journeys.
The retractable hard top (RHT) ensures outstanding levels of comfort and versatility due to the extra space achieved through a double curve over the heads of driver and passenger. The RHT system takes 14 seconds to complete the opening or closing operation at speeds of up to 45 km/h. The glass rear screen is electrically height-adjustable and offers occupants superb passenger compartment comfort in open-top driving, allowing normal conversation up to speeds of higher than 200 km/h.
This car differs from the Ferrari 12Cilindri in the boldly expressive character created by the two buttresses at the rear, behind which an element with a black-screen effect is set. The crease lines evident on the buttresses clearly echo the motif of the flank, accentuating the expressiveness of the design of these elements. Set into the flank is a ‘quarterlight’ in back-painted polycarbonate.
